HES-SO M.S. in Business Administration

In partnership with the Hautes Ecoles of the HES-SO, the HES-SO Master’s degree in Business Administration rounds out the training provided by the B.S. Program in Business Economics. It focuses on different areas of specialization and develops students’ potential to take on leadership positions in business organizations. It prepares students for management positions such as the following:

  • Management of companies, public institutions and semi-public organizations 
  • H.R., Marketing or Production management, etc. 
  • Business Consulting, Business Analysis 
  • Business Creation 

A distinctive feature of this master’s degree program is that it benefits from collaboration among all the HEG schools, as well as the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (the hospitality management school). Students follow a core curriculum and major in one of the following areas:

  • Entrepreneurship (in English/French or English/German 
  • Information Systems Management 
  • Service Management & Engineering 

The core modules are taught in Lausanne, and the specialist modules are given at the different schools of the HES-SO.

This program, which emphasizes practical training, corresponds to 90 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System). Participants have a chance to carry out practical projects with research institutes and private or public organizations. This is an opportunity to put learning into practice by autonomously solving real-world business problems.

This program lasts 4 semesters under the part-time system enabling students to work and study simultaneously.
