HEIG-VD further training offers postgraduate courses giving EMBA, MAS, DAS, and CAS qualification

Further Learning Centre

The HEIG-VD Further Learning Centre operates an extensive array of improvement courses, from a few sessions through to multi-year postgraduate programmes.

 

EMBA

The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) is a postgraduate master’s degree recognized by HES-SO¹. It involves 1,800 hours’ training (full academic year equivalent) and counts for 60 or more ECTS² credits. The courses are usually spread over two years to accommodate studies (courses, research, projects) without disrupting the student’s professional career.

MAS

The Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) is a postgraduate master’s degree recognized by HES-SO¹. It involves 1,800 hours’ training (full academic year equivalent) and counts for 60 or more ECTS² credits. The courses are usually spread over two years to accommodate studies (courses, research, projects) without disrupting the student’s professional career.

DAS

The Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) is a postgraduate diploma recognized by HES-SO¹. It involves 900 hours’ training (full academic semester equivalent) and counts for 30 or more ECTS² credits. The courses are usually spread over 18–24 months to accommodate studies (courses, research, projects) without disrupting the student’s professional career.

CAS

The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) is a postgraduate certificate recognized by HES-SO¹. It involves 300 hours’ training (one-third academic semester equivalent) and 10 or more ECTS² credits. The courses are usually spread over 9–18 months to accommodate studies (courses, research, projects) without disrupting the student’s professional career.

Specific courses

A range of professional improver courses of shorter length and with different admission criteria and demands compared with the postgraduate courses.

General courses

A range of general courses, mainly directed at students and staff working at HEIG-VD but also anyone from outside the HEIG-VD Campus who is interested.

Seminars

We welcome a wider public, interested in specialist, innovative topics, at symposia, conferences, twilight seminars, etc.
